Around twenty-five thousand residences in Queensland's southeast woke up experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after powerful weather events swept through the area, producing wind gusts reaching over 100 km/h.

Substantial Ice Stones and Widespread Destruction

Residents witnessed giant hailstones as large as seven centimeters in some areas. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that different parts across Queensland had been impacted by substantial ice precipitation.

Humid circumstances were predicted to continue along significant areas of eastern Queensland this week as a atmospheric system continued to pull in damp air against the coast.

Tuesday was predicted as the heaviest precipitation period, with persistent storm activity predicted across different parts of both states.

Health officials alerted that there was an increased chance of weather-related respiratory issues across the state's northern country region, particularly given the ongoing climate situation.
